1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and White River Media LLC, an Indiana limited liability company, doing business as Adventure Guitar. "Site" refers to advenguitar.com and all content, tools, and services available thereon. "You" and "user" refer to any individual accessing or using the Site.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after amendments are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The current effective date is displayed at the top of this page.

2. Use of the Site

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Site.

2.2 Permitted Use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

2.3 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Site content without our prior written consent.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to collect data from the Site in a manner that burdens our infrastructure or circumvents access controls.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from any tool or application on the Site.
• Transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use the Site in any manner that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Site or its underlying systems.

3. Free Tools

The interactive tools available on this Site — including the Guitar Neck explorer, Flashcards, Musical Dice, and Practice Log — are provided free of charge for personal, educational use. These tools run entirely within your browser; no account creation is required to use them.

We reserve the right to modify, limit access to, or discontinue any tool at any time without notice and without liability. Availability of free tools does not constitute a contractual obligation to maintain them indefinitely.

4. Tool Guide & Email List

We offer a free digital tool guide (the "Guide") in exchange for your email address. The Guide is provided as a lead magnet — a marketing mechanism through which we may follow up with additional educational content and promotional communications related to products or services offered by White River Media LLC or Adventure Guitar.

By submitting your email address to receive the Guide, you expressly consent to receiving follow-up marketing communications from us. You may withdraw this consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in every marketing email we send. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes. Our full data practices are described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Future Products & Purchases

We intend to offer paid products and services — including but not limited to digital courses, downloadable content, merchandise, and instructional materials — in the future. Nothing on the Site currently constitutes a binding offer to sell any product or service unless explicitly confirmed through a completed purchase transaction.

When paid offerings become available, their specific terms — including pricing, delivery, refund eligibility, and license scope — will be presented at the point of purchase. Those product-specific terms will supplement and, where applicable, supersede these general Terms.

6. Advertising

The Site currently promotes only products and services offered by White River Media LLC and Adventure Guitar. We do not presently operate third-party advertising networks.

If third-party advertising or affiliate arrangements are introduced, such content will be clearly identified as advertising or sponsored content in compliance with applicable FTC disclosure requirements. No advertiser has editorial control over Site content.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

All content on this Site — including but not limited to tool interfaces, application code, lesson text, graphics, illustrations, the Adventure Guitar name, and associated logos — is owned by or licensed to White River Media LLC and is protected by applicable U.S. and international intellectual property laws. No content may be reproduced, republished, distributed, or commercially exploited without our prior written permission.

7.2 Musical Theory Content

General music theory concepts, scales, chord structures, and standard guitar technique described on this Site are educational in nature and not claimed as proprietary. Original lesson text, diagrams, tool design, and instructional arrangements of such material remain the intellectual property of White River Media LLC.

7.3 User-Generated Content

The Site does not currently support user accounts or user-submitted content. If such functionality is introduced, applicable terms will be added to this document.

7.4 Feedback

If you submit suggestions, ideas, or feedback to us, you grant White River Media LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use and incorporate such feedback without restriction or obligation to you.

8. Third-Party Links & Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over third-party content, privacy practices, or terms of service, and we are not responsible for any damages or losses arising from your use of third-party sites. The presence of a link does not constitute endorsement.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, TOOLS, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WHITE RIVER MEDIA LLC EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components. Musical instruction and theory content is provided for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for instruction from a qualified professional.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WHITE RIVER MEDIA LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR ANY CONTENT THEREON, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amounts paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) ten U.S. dollars ($10.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of competent jurisdiction located in Indiana. You hereby irrevocably consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts and waive any objection based on improper venue or inconvenient forum.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time in our sole discretion. Modifications will be effective upon posting to the Site with a revised effective date. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Site after any modification constitutes your binding acceptance of the revised Terms.
